Small Groups

Do you want to see Jesus at work in your life? Do you struggle to pray and want to grow in your faith? Do you crave Christian community? Are you curious about what discipleship is all about?
Small Groups at Summit bring God's people together, to learn, grow, and pray with and for each other. Discipleship happens through qualified and trained leaders who aim to really know, and be known by, the members of their small groups.

Our small groups are structured by trimesters:
Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall
Each semester gives people an easy place to jump in to a group and get connected.

Prayer Cohort

Angela Caprine

Wednesdays | 10 AM - 11:30 AM

Women's Group

Is prayer ever  awkward for you? Do you get easily distracted? Are you uncomfortable praying  out loud or with other people? Is prayer something you believe actually  works, or has cynicism gotten the best of you? You are not alone. One of the  most profound privileges for the Christian is our invitation to prayer. We  serve a God who not only lavishes his grace upon us but invites us into his  tapestry of work through the act of praying. It is the primary way by which  we encounter His presence, are transformed by His Spirit, and gain a deeper  knowledge of the One who has called us to Himself. Summit Ridge desires to be  a church bathed in prayer and we believe that by approaching it together, we  can encourage and teach each other to really pray. Join us this semester as  we read through "A Praying Life" by Paul Miller and we will watch  the Lord Jesus transform our lives and hearts through our worshipful act of  prayer.

Humility for Men

John Caprine

Wednesdays | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Men's Group

Humility might seem like the way of doormats and punching bags, but in reality, it is the path of a resilient, bold, sturdy, strong, even-tempered, and confident Christian. In these devotions, men will explore how to build lives that no longer need to teeter on fragile egos, but rest on something much firmer—the God who came to earth as the humble servant Jesus—our model and the source of humility.

The Humility Project for Men begins with examining humility before God, teaching readers to aspire to and enjoy this calling from God. It then transitions to practicing humility before others, offering practical guidance on listening, forgiving, showing compassion, and building unity.

Infertility Hope Group

Grace Panknin & Angela Caprine

Wednesdays | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Women's Group

One in six women struggle with infertility.  Where can they turn for comfort and guidance while grieving their dreams and grappling with unfulfilled longing?

Our Infertility Hope Group seeks to  come alongside women who are facing, or have faced the unique struggles of infertility.  Our group will utilize a devotional and discussion to help women work through their complex emotions, grow in their faith, restore strained relationships, and move forward in their journeys with perseverance and confidence in the Lord.

Sermon Based Group

Tricia Coblentz & Kristen Leach

Wednesdays | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Women's Group

Quite often,  questions arise after hearing the word of God preached from the pulpit.  Perhaps something that was said did not make sense to you. Maybe there was a  word of encouragement that sustained you throughout the week. Regularly,  there is a particularly convicting message that you wish to explore further.  This is how the Holy Spirit works – He speaks through the word of God in  preaching and is intent on offering encouragement to the weary and conviction  to the unrepentant, inciting the hope of the Gospel in those who hear. These  small groups serve as an opportunity to discuss the previous week’s sermon  and dive deeper into its various themes.

Hope Groups

We have found that what God reveals He intends to heal. God mends what is broken.

We seek to offer Biblical counseling as we find that Christ revealed in the Bible is the way, the truth and the life. Scriptural truths apply to ancient and modern problems alike. We want to come alongside those who are hurting, oppressed and struggling. We recognize that suffering and sin in all forms coming at you needs to be recognized as what it is and processed through with Biblical insights. We aim to bridge the gap where life and Scripture meet.

What are Hope Groups? Check out our deep dive about what these groups are in the video down below.
